When someone authenticates, the scheme confirms the identity linked to their SPID account and can return verified details such as name, date of birth, and codice fiscale. The customer proves who they are with their existing SPID credentials, so there is no document upload or selfie step.
The customer presses “Entra con SPID”, chooses their accredited identity provider, and signs in with that provider’s credentials, adding a one-time code for higher assurance.
