What is SI-PASS Login?

SI-PASS, short for Slovenska avtentikacijska in podpisna storitev, is Slovenia's central authentication and electronic signature service. It is operated by SI-TRUST, the Trust Service Authority of Slovenia, which sits within the Ministry of Public Administration. SI-PASS connects several electronic identities behind a single login, including the electronic Slovenian ID card and the smsPASS mobile identity, and its trust services are eIDAS compliant and listed on the EU Trusted List.

A person authenticates through SI-PASS using an e-identification means such as a qualified digital certificate or the smsPASS mobile identity. With the person's consent, SI-PASS can return verified personal data drawn from the Central Population Register, such as name, date of birth, and address of permanent residence. Because SI-PASS is eIDAS notified, citizens of other EU member states holding a compatible national eID can also authenticate through it.

How verification works

Person authenticates with SI-PASS

The customer logs in through SI-PASS using their Slovenian ID card, a qualified digital certificate, or the smsPASS mobile identity, and consents to share their data with your service.

Frequently asked questions

How do I verify a SI-PASS identity?

The person authenticates through SI-PASS using their Slovenian ID card, a qualified digital certificate, or the smsPASS mobile identity, and consents to share their data. SI-TRUST then returns verified fields such as name, date of birth, and address of permanent residence to your service.

What data does SI-PASS return?

With the person's consent, SI-PASS can return personal data drawn from the Central Population Register, such as name, surname, date of birth, and address of permanent residence. The data returned depends on what your service requests and what the person agrees to share.

Is SI-PASS mandatory?

SI-PASS is Slovenia's official central authentication and e-signature service and is used across government eServices, but it is not compulsory for private-sector transactions. It is eIDAS notified, so EU citizens with a compatible national eID can also authenticate through it.

How does SI-PASS verification work with Zenoo?

It runs as a pre-built connector. The person authenticates through SI-PASS and consents to share their data, and Zenoo returns a verified result with a full audit trail.
