IDIN Customer ID & IDIN Login

Netherlands

iDIN is the Dutch bank-based identity scheme that lets a person confirm who they are online using the login they already have with their bank. It was developed by Currence, the Dutch payment and identity scheme owner, together with the country’s major banks, so verification runs through the same trusted method people use for online banking. Because the banks have already verified their account holders, a person can reuse that identity rather than starting from scratch.

What is IDIN Customer ID & IDIN Login?

iDIN is the Dutch bank-based identity scheme that lets a person confirm who they are online using the login they already have with their bank. It was developed by Currence, the Dutch payment and identity scheme owner, together with the country’s major banks, so verification runs through the same trusted method people use for online banking. Because the banks have already verified their account holders, a person can reuse that identity rather than starting from scratch.

The person selects their bank, logs in with their normal bank credentials, and confirms which details may be shared. On a successful authentication the scheme returns the agreed attributes, which include at least the person’s initials, surname, and a unique iDIN identifier, and can include further details such as date of birth and address. The customer stays in control of what is shared, and there is no document upload or selfie step because they prove identity with their bank login.
